Welcome to Headway Oxfordshire’s Support and Advice page. If you’re reading this page, it is likely that you are caring for a partner, parent, son, daughter or friend who has been affected by a brain injury.
You may find yourself experiencing a range of emotions and have questions about brain injury, its effects, coping strategies and how best that you can support your loved one. We’re here to offer you emotional support and help you to develop a greater understanding of brain injury, as well as help you to meet others who are going through a similar situation. This can be individualised to meet you and your loved one’s personal needs, or you may also find our Carers’ Support Groups helpful.
Our specialist team will support you no matter what stage of your journey you are at; whether from the hospital bed or back within your own home and community further down the line.
“Nobody in the hospital told us about Headway until we met a Headway staff member.. when he came into the ward. She was brilliant and gave us loads of information in a way we could understand.”
— Jo, Carer
